My baby does sometimes sleep for 3 hours at a time, but it can not be depended on. We have 3 hour stretches where he’ll only sleep for 15 minutes a few times. It is absolutely exhausting and can be really frustrating, too. Even if your baby is an unusually calm and content baby, I would doubt the ability of jist about any 13 year old to have the maturity, patience, and judgment to babysit a baby that young. Just as one example: what is the plan for if the baby won’t stop crying? Should the 13yo call mom after 10 minutes? 30? An hour? Not at all? I wouldn’t be okay with this. There are just too many things that could go wrong.
