Some kids can handle responsibility, some can’t. 13 is just one of those ages where you can’t make blanket assumptions because they are becoming young adults and some mature faster than others. But one thing we don’t know is- does the 13 year old WANT to watch the baby? And if they successfully do so once, is it going to become an indefinite responsibility forever? That would not be fair.
