I am so damn tired of this shit, hearing week after week how Minnesota is the Hoppy Xmas Ugly Christmas Sweater Knitted Gift For Men And Women sweetheart and that they’ll row the boat right to the playoffs. In reality they’ve played absolutely no one and scraped by half of their games. Minnesota isn’t the kind of team that outright wins games, but rather, their opponents find ways to lose games. Inferior teams like South Dakota State, Fresno State, and Georgia Southern find ways to lose. They barely survived Purdue, and have since been beating up on deflated teams like Rutgers and Maryland. Can you imagine if this team had to play Michigan or Ohio State? Can you imagine if they played a decent OOC opponent? Penn State is the only legitimately good team they’ll play this year. And I fully expect Penn State to expose Minnesota in every facet of the game. Minnesota is not physical. They are not fast or explosive. They don’t have particularly good QB play or athletes on the parameter. They’re 8-0 because they simply avoid mistakes and let their opponents beat themselves. Penn State is not the kind of team that beats itself.
