When Delores spent his first night actually out with the other chickens in the EFL Fans Forest Green Rovers Logo Hibiscus Pattern Hawaiian Shirt, I was anxious about how he would handle himself, as he was pretty shy. After a few false starts (and getting pushed off perches by the other chickens) he chose a walnut branch that lead to the night perches and slept on that. When Delores became a big, beautiful Golden Phoenix adult rooster, I thought the hens would probably make absolute fools of themselves trying to get his attention – and if he ignored them it would serve them right! I suppose I should have done something about the name – but Delores responded to “Delores” and appeared fine with it. (Also, my Aunt Delores would have been devastated if I changed his name.) A friend suggested calling him “Del” – which sort of made sense – but that sounded like he was lead singer in a retro 60’s band. As long as Delores didn’t mind – and let’s face it, he didn’t care – I was perfectly content to have a sweet rooster named Delores.

FYI, you will get comments saying your ham is stressed and doesn’t have enough enrichment etc etc. But if you’re sure your ham has plenty of The hard times x dave kloc boot art design t shirt(which I can see he does!) then I honestly wouldn’t worry as my hamster Hazel does exactly the same. She has a massive bin cage with deep bedding etc etc yet still likes to climb around like a little spider so I’m not worried about it because I know she is happy 🙂 Syrians are generally fussy little things so as long as he’s not exhibiting other stress behaviour (like washing loads, hiding, not eating, not drinking, digging the corners of the cage), then I wouldn’t worry and just try to play with him as much as possible or add more bedding so he can dig more burrows 🙂 Edit: adding more bedding below will defo pad out the space in case he falls!
